New England IPA El Dorado, Citra, Sabro

New England IPA El Dorado, Citra & Sabro

Working on hoppy beers is a never ending story involving constant changes and searching for the most effective hopping methods in terms of quality, choosing the right proportions, types of hops and many other issues that influence the final product.

In this particular case we added most of the hops that were usually added at the Whirlpool stage during dry hopping which helped to reduce the perceived bitterness. In turn, the additional amount of hops added “cold” enriched the palette of hop aromas, perfectly perceptible in the foreground.

New England IPA El Dorado, Citra & Sabro

Hazy, juicy and… loaded with intense hoppy aroma! Get to know our newest New England IPA hopped with El Dorado, Citra & Sabro varieties. They filled it with tropical fruit notes like lychee and papaya, accompanied by subtle coconut notes. Together with a hazy and malty base, they created a crisp, juicy and super drinkable beer – perfect for the early spring days!

Malts / extract:

Pale barley malts of German origin complemented by the addition of oatmeal created an 16⁰ Plato extract. A special, british oat malt is responsible for the color, which introduced a delicate biscuity feeling to the beer.

Hops:

We decided to reduce the bitterness as much as possible, while keeping the intense hoppy aroma.

We used:

Citra – a classic American variety that is the true “queen” of IPA style beers filled with citrus notes.

El Dorado – an American variety of hops characterized by complex tropical notes

Sabro – brings to the beer notes of coconut, lychee and white fruit, complementing the already intense palette of fruit aromas.

Best when it`s fresh!

Such intensely hopped beers tastes insanely, especially fresh! Hop aroma decreases over time. Therefore, treat this beer with particular care, keep it in a dark and very cool place (the fridge will be a good solution) and do not wait – drink fresh!
