Salamander Black IPA

SALAMANDER Black IPA

The new design of SALAMANDER labels carries a hidden value. Discover it below and don’t hesitate to talk about it.

Big small talk

Forgive me, but small talk is not my forte. I’m definitely better at “big talk”. After all, we don’t have much time, so maybe let’s dive a little deeper. When all the unnecessary layers are removed, you can clearly see the essence.

Balanced dialogue

Have you ever talked to a person who, in fact, is enough if she constantly talks and you only ask and listen? It’s a celebrity personality. She has such an interesting life that she is not interested in what is going on with yours. But it does interests me. Just don’t forget to make sure that everything`s fine with me too.

Gimme a sign

I`m constantly giving you a sign, can you hear me? Hands are my language. My body is an expression. I want to draw from you, my interlocutor, and I will let you draw from me. You may even disagree with my blinking, but I’m glad you’re not only grabbing my words but getting to understand them.

Salamander Black IPA is an emerging new wave beer style, also known as the Cascadian Dark Ale as it was originally created in the north-western region of the USA, the Cascade Mountain Range. It is full of contradictions: dark as Porter with intense chocolate and roast tones subdued. Brewed specifically for the Wrocław Beer Trail, a local initiative bringing together the best multitaps in the city to promote the craft beer market in Poland.

Black IPA

It is full of contradictions – in color it is dark like Porter, but it does not have such intense chocolate and roasted notes. The taste is clearly bitter, but the aroma mixes pine-resin notes with a subtle citrusiness, resulting from intense dry hopping process. This beer will take all your senses by surprise. Visit us in Wrocław to give it a try!

Malts/extract:

The malt character is emphasized here primarily in the dark color of the beer. Dextrin sweetness is necessary to balance the hoppy, bitter nature of the Black IPA.

Hops:

The Black IPA style needs to be hopped even a little more than the American IPA itself, because the base consist of the dark malts are somehow “covering” the hoppy character of the beer. The hops used in the production process are mainly giving a pleasant pine-resin profile (Chinnok) along with considerable citrusiness (Citra, Mosaic, Cascade).

Best when it`s fresh!

Such intensely hopped beer tastes insanely, especially fresh! Hop aroma decreases over time. Therefore, treat this beer with particular care – keep it in a dark and very cool place (the fridge will be a good solution) and do not wait – drink fresh!
