Browar 100 Mostów becomes the first Polish member of The Brewers Association

Browar 100 Mostów becomes the first Polish member of The Brewers Association, the biggest organization associating craft breweries in the world.

The Brewers Association is an organization whose history goes back to the 1940s when it was established to protect and promote craft breweries. To paraphrase a well-known saying by Abraham Lincoln: it is an organization of brewers, for brewers and by brewers associating craft brewers who appreciate:

  • natural ingredients;
  • traditional recipes;
  • courage to create new recipes and pave the way;
  • ingenuity;
  • thinking about the future of genuine beer.

As these ideas make up the genetic code of Browar Stu Mostów, we are absolutely thrilled to join the organization. The moment is the more significant since Browar Stu Mostów has been the first brewery in Poland to join this association.We will learn from the best.

Brewing regres

At the end of the 1970s, the brewing industry in America faced a period of sharp changes. While the traditions and styles brought over by immigrants from all over the world started disappearing, marketing campaigns directed consumers’ tastes towards light lager only.

The market lacked genuine beer based on traditional recipes and natural ingredients, brewed with utmost care and without accelerating the production process to maximise profits. The only method of tasting genuine beer was to brew it at home. Hence, homebrewing flourished.

Soon, small, local breweries started to emerge. Over the years, beer quality improved while production technology continued to develop. The high quality was naturally followed by the full-flavoured taste of beer.

Local breweries run with passion and mission slowly expanded their distribution so as to reach a growing number of beer lovers.

Beer revolution

The first half of the 1990s witnessed a breakthrough when the number of craft breweries increased considerably. Such a phenomenon was also affected by amendments to the US legal regulations facilitating their fast growth. Craft brewers have established the highest levels of quality and innovation creating the most diverse brewing culture worldwide. Craft breweries and genuine beer lovers have brought about a revolution.
