WRCLW Pils

Pilsner is by far the most popular beer style in the world and one of our favorites!

German Pilzner (Pils) is a brighter and slightly more dry version of the Czech Pils. This very well-known bottom-fermented beer is rarely brewed by craft breweries. A pity, because a good pilzner always refreshes well and is a great aperitif.

WRCLW Pils

It is a classic representative of a bottom fermented beer – German Pilsner (Pils). The light color and slightly cereal aroma result from the use of almost only Pilsner malt during mashing process. This allows you to fully enjoy the soul of this beer, which are noble German varieties of hops. Beer for all occasions, with a moderate, distinct bitterness.

Style:

Despite its lightness, due to the use of bottom fermentation yeast, it requires long fermentation and aging at low temperatures. The production process takes about 5 weeks, including a minimum of 3 weeks aging at temperatures close to 0 ° C. We brew it according to a classic recipe, which our brewers say: seems simple on paper, but requires a lot of effort during brewing.

Malts/extract:

The vast majority of mash consist of Pilsen malt, thanks to which the beer has a light, straw color. We add only a small percentage of wheat malt, to improve foaming and a pinch of Munich malt to slightly increase the malt depth.

Hops:

The main role in this beer is played by noble German hops varieties grown in the Bavarian Hallertau region – bitter Taurus, giving strong and pure bitterness and aromatic: Hersbrucker, with a noble herb-floral aromatic profile and Tettnanger, slightly herb-grass, very pleasant, very often used in German bottom fermented beers. An unusual, new wave procedure is adding hops to our Pils at the stage of aging at low temperatures (so-called cold hopping) with noble varieties of hops (Hersbrucker and Tettnaner), so as to give an even more pleasant aroma and prove that pils in new arrangements do not have to be boring, on the contrary – it can be very intriguing, without losing anything of its stylish sessions (drinkability).
