On June 1 the exhibition titled \u201cThe Brewing Industry in Wroc\u0142aw and Lower Silesia. The past and present\u201d was opened to draw attention to some historical spots on the map of the city and its region.<\/p>\n<p>The first part of the exhibition focuses on the history and features information regarding some legendary places in WRCLW: Piwnica \u015awidnicka, Piwnica Ratuszowa, C. Kissling\u2019s restaurant and pub, Piwiarnia Augustinerbr\u00e4u and Bitterbierhaus beer pub; Haase, Mieszcza\u0144ski and Piastowski pubs; Friebeberg, Kaiser Wilhelm Park beer gardens; and photographs of Miedzianka and Jedlinka. There are more places related to the history of brewing in Wroc\u0142aw than we realize. \u201cThe exhibition is there to show the city\u2019s rich and fascinating brewing traditions\u201d \u2013 says El\u017cbieta Lenczyk, Director of the Wroc\u0142aw Good Beer Festival.<\/p>\n<p>The other part of the exhibition concentrates on craft breweries operating in the city today. \u201cFor quite a few years now the craft breweries in Wroc\u0142aw have been rebuilding their leading position. It\u2019s exactly in Wroc\u0142aw that the first beer pub opened hundreds of years ago. Currently there are sixteen breweries in Wroc\u0142aw which serve internationally renowned beers.
