Style<\/strong><\/p>\n

Outstanding in style and delicious in taste, this year\u2019s latest trend, Milkshake IPA, is a combination of fruit, lactose and slightly bitter AIPA. This style allows for a lot of freedom. Brewers mix various fruit, different lactose proportions, and experiment with extra ingredients. We have decided to use Polish forest bilberries and added loads of precious vanilla sticks. The outcome brings to mind sweet bilberry-vanilla milkshake. The beer is filled with aromas of American hops: citrus fruit, pear, tropical fruit and mint, which are balanced with a medium-high level of bitterness. It\u2019s amazing, surprising and\u2026..delicious!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Malts\/extract:<\/strong><\/p>\n

This style is interesting in terms of extract, which seems to be high at first sight. Although 17 Plato identifies strong beers, the beer\u2019s alcohol content is low as a result of lactose, milk sugar, which is not assimilated by yeast during the fermentation process. This sugar enriches the beer\u2019s fullness and creates an illusion of drinking sweet milkshake. The malty base is quite light accentuating fruity and vanilla flavours. The beer\u2019s light colour is hardly noticeable as it is dominated by the dark blue colour of bilberries. Oat flakes give the style its velvety texture.<\/p>\n

Hops:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Milkshake IPA must be hoppy! Bitterness at medium-high level means it should be clear but not overwhelming! The highly desired hoppy aroma is brought about by American hops: Mosaic produces tropical fruit aroma, the well-known Citra produces citric aromas, while Calypso adds subtle aromas of pears and a touch of mint. Together with bilberries such a combination of hop varieties gives an outstanding impression.<\/p>\n

Extra ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Extra ingredients are really important in this style! We have decided to use the real delicacy of Polish forest \u2013 bilberries! Next to strawberries, what could be better in a milkshake than bilberries! Added in the form of fruit puree, bilberries are aromatic, slightly acidic, and 100% natural. Simply delicious. And on top of it, vanilla sticks, more precious than gold, give the beer its final touch.<\/p>\n
